What? Whyyy?

What do you mean why? Sometimes when you’re making a 2d game, you need tools and sometimes you can’t find those tools and what do you do then? Spend a whole week searching for it and praying to god that someone else makes one cause you just don’t have time to deal with that kind of stuff.
Well, that’s what happened to me. I didn’t find what I was searching for and got so frustrated that I decided to stop searching for it and start making my own. Until this day I’ve never made a tool, so behold! My own animation editor.

It lacks some features but c’mon look at it, isn’t it beautiful? =)

What happened to RageEffect?

Even though I knew RageEffect was gonna be a success, I couldn’t keep up paying for the server since I also had other financial problems, my mistake was buying an expensive server, which I later realized it wasn’t needed.
I should’ve bought a small one instead then once it became enough popular buy a better one.

As for the game, I promised my players that there’ll be a Second beta with lots of improvements, unfortunately I realized that the connection problems stratus had were impossible to fix and that continuing the game with that enormous connection bug would be a bad idea. I mean when my game was up, there were 80% people who couldn’t join, 80% of those people experienced connectivity problems which was a really really bad thing.

I apologize to the players who expected the second beta, cause there wont be any..for now.


It’s pretty much alive and breathing , but not in the flesh of flash but inside a small .exe application !

That’s right, I’m rewriting the whole game, no more flash problems, no more slow downs
it will be reborn, stronger as ever, faster than the speed of light, and better than anything.

What is RageEffect ?

It’s a temporary name for almost all of my projects and it’s also the official name of my Flash Multiplayer game

Like I said, I’ve made several RageEffects, they were all different from each other
One was a PHP/Flash hybrid, which had interactive turn based combats, that game was never released due to lack of content, I realized that there was no way for me to add lots of content, the game itself was pretty much finished.

Second one was a Flash strategy game, also a web game, decided to abandon the project for some reason.

Third one was a java RTS using pulpcore, abondoned because of the crappy java networking

Fourth one was an original 3D tower defense game, which I later abondoned cause I found out that somebody already came up with the idea before me and is about to publish his game soon ( his game won a XNA Dream,Build & Play award )

Fifth is the official game which was hosted on ( down for now ) , the fast paced non-stop action multiplayer game, all thanks to their new technology Adobe Stratus which allowed me to create peer to peer connections through flash.
